Finding a Fantasy chapter 5Chapter V- In which we trust a complete stranger
"Subway. It is epic." I said after finishing my sandwich. Tuna with lettuce and bacon on flatbread.
Don't judge me.
Keira stretched and stood up. "Took you long enough to finish that."
"I'm a slow eater. Sue me."
"Cookies~" Melanthe muttered happily as she nommed on said food item. Her sister leaned back in her chair and crossed her arms.
"So, how much money do you have, anyways? It has to be a lot, considering how much you wasted on the cookies."
"Actually, I think that's just a habit she picked up from our student store." I jerked my thumb over to Keira. "She's the reason there was a limit made to how many of these things can be bought in one day." I grabbed another cookie and took a small bite out of it. "How much money did you two bring?"
"We have about $600 between us."
I nodded. "Good. That should last us...maybe a week or so." I noticed the skeptical looks I was being given. "Hey, flying takes a lot of energy."
"Even though we onl

"Remind me again why we only took one laptop." I said irritably, shoving Keira off a chair and stealing the spot, opening up a new tab.
I was pushed to the ground by an equally angry Keira. "Get your own chair."
I grumbled some stuff under my breath as I grabbed another chair and sat next to my friend, staring intently at the laptop screen, on her tab. "So, why do Faeryn and Melanthe want to talk to us on a chatroom?"
Keira shrugged and started typing.
Keira: What do you two want to talk about that's so important?
Melanthe: My sister needs help.
Faeryn: You couldn't have let me type that?
Keira: Okay, wha
Vivian: What's going on?
I was promptly shoved out of my chair for stealing my tab before Keira could finish her response.
Faeryn: Answer our question first. Are you two missing?
We both exchanged weary glances.
Vivian: What gives you that idea?
Faeryn: We don't live in the same time zone, but once you said what time it was where you are and it

Obviously, you're not going to go anywhere if you have nothing but the clothes on your back. Luckily for us, my dad had a Ford Fiesta along with his old Toyota pickup, so transportation wasn't a problem. (I still hadn't learned to fly in the two months I had been practicing. Forget about Keira even trying to get airborne at this point.) Neither was cash; Keira had a whopping $4k in her bank account. I knew she had quite a bit, but dear chronicler, I didn't realize she had that much!
So basically, we were runaways. We had to change our appearances as much as possible. Our first stop was a salon. Keira dyed her hair bright blonde with a black streak. I only had the guts to put a blue-green feather in my hair. (I love my highlights, dang it.) Then it was off to an eyeglasses store where Keira went and got contacts. Our last stop: Good 'ol Wal-Mart. We just bought enough clothes to last us a while, (My friend admittedly got everything. I didn't even want to

"Keira, check the time." I ordered dully as I clicked the home button on my wii remote. I let my elbows give out and my face collapsed into the pillow below me, swinging my legs back and fourth as I waited for the reply.
"10: 58." Keira answered, tossing her phone back onto the recliner behind us.
"One hour, two minutes left to go, then." I figured out mentally and lifted my head up to look at the TV screen. "This new year's is taking forever to arrive. I don't care if we've already done it twice in a row, next time, we're back at your house for this." I un-paused the game and continued on, stealing the star for myself while Keira wasn't paying attention.
"Hey!" She turned and glared at me, being forced to bubble as I sped through the rest of level 1-2, getting about 3 one ups in the process.
"You snooze, ya loose." I laughed, but then I felt the full weight of a Keira on me. "Gah! Get off! You're heavier than you look!" It took me about a minute to shove my f
Shadowed feelingsI know I've made some pretty crappy decisions. Just look at it from my perspective for a sec. From the moment I was created, I was totally clueless. Ganon told me a believable enough lie, so I clung to it. I worked for him. I released Vaati, kidnapped Zelda, tried to kill the Four Sword hero, the whole shebang. Only because I thought that was what I was supposed to do. Everyone wants a purpose. That was the only one I know.
Convinced of my innocence yet? Good, because I'm not.
Just between you, me, and that tree over there, for majority of my life, I had a crush on Zelda. Yeah, I know. I'm a cold, heartless shadow. I just assume, like I did back then, it was because I was Link's Shadow.
Whenever I had some free time, I popped up and visited her. I could tell she hated it, but it didn't matter to me. I enjoyed being near her. We mostly argued and exchanged barbs, but the words never hurt either of us. I enjoyed every second of it. That is, until the time she slapped me. I can't remem
The BeginningHe told them, of course. He told those idiots everything, the whole damn story, including the blunder he'd made, and its consequences. Looking back on it later, he realized he had probably been in shock the whole time. It made sense, anyone would have been.
Soph was about twenty years old, and he'd been that way for a couple of years already, ever since the Hoarde had started attacking humanity from the past. Every day that passed, they ate at another day in the past. It sickened him. Those creatures had absolutely no regard for proper time and causality protocols.
It didn't seem to affect anyone else that way, though.
The Hoarde was the result of a human creation, of course, like everything bad in the world, though no one else knew about them. Then again, no one else had undiluted access to the power of creation. Even he didn't know much about the Hoarde, only that they appeared through some tear in The Fabric of The World and started killing people off. They appeared at some point in
